PipeSonic and Greenland International Consulting Engineers were happy to sponsor the evening reception at the 2025 ROMA conference in Toronto. It was an incredible event and we were able to share our technology and vision with so many wonderful smaller towns, villages and cities from all across Ontario.

Big Bend National Park
PipeSonic and its partner Operational Technical Services (OTS) used PII to inspect a 1950’s steel water line in Big Bend National Park. The system had previously been assessed using ultrasonic thickness-spot-checks. As part of a system redesign by Doucet/Kleinfelder, PipeSonic assessed the line to determine its remaining useful life.

Town of Penetanguishene
PipeSonic partnered with Greenland International Consulting Engineers to deliver a high-resolution condition assessment of a 110-year-old cast-iron watermain in Penetaguishene, Ontario. Just look at the quality of the external coating after all these years!

Tech Challenge 2023
PipeSonic is proud to have won the 2023 Tech Challenge for the non-destructive assessment of pressurized pipes sponsored by A. O. Smith Corporation, Badger Meter, and Watts Water Technologies, which recognized our PII technology as a world-class innovation. We are pleased to continue to build on our long-standing ties to the Water Council, Milwaukee, and the Wisconsin water technology ecosystem, which stretch back to our founders’ participation in the BREW business accelerator program in 2015.

PipeSonic demonstrated Pipe Integrity Inspection (PII) on a mile of 8″ cast iron (CI) water mains in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA on September 17th 2023. PII located multiple repairs, a plastic replacement section, and several very small leaks.

PipeSonic was invited to present the results of several Pipe Integrity Inspection (PII) of asbestos cement (AC) water mains in a technical session and to explain more broadly the advantages and challenges of non-invasive inspections of AC water mains.

Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON
PipeSonic demonstrated Pipe Integrity Inspection (PII) on 6″ and 8″ asbestos cement (AC) water mains in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada on the morning of July 24th, 2023. The new PII prototype units functioned as expected, and the resulting report demonstrates PII’s ability to resolve pipe wall “down-to-the-stick” and to locate features such as service take-offs within a few feet.
